PMI Hampton Roads Chapter Bylaws 2026 Review

Members,

We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our bylaws reflect PMI requirements and the evolving needs of our organization, the Board of Directors has proposed several changes to our current bylaws.

We are now entering a 30-day review period, during which we invite all members to review the proposed changes and provide feedback. Your input is invaluable to us, and we encourage you to take this opportunity to share your thoughts and suggestions.  Here is a summary of the significant changes:

  • (Article V, Section 8) Added a new voting board member, VP of Artificial Intelligence

  • (Article V, Section 10) Added a new voting board member, VP of Local Communities

  • (Article V, Section 4) Renamed the VP of Communications to VP of Governance

  • (Article V, Section 6) Added new guidelines regarding replacing a President Elect who is unable to complete their term of office

  • (Article V, Section 18) Previous iterations of our bylaws referenced some director positions and not others. To create consistency and maximize flexibility regarding the naming and placement of director roles, specific references were removed within VP job descriptions, and a new section was added to reference directors.

How to Review the Proposed Changes: The proposed changes to the bylaws can be accessed via this link: PMIHR Bylaw Revision 2026 . Please review the document thoroughly.

How to Submit Feedback: You can submit your feedback or questions via email to [email protected] or [email protected].

Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our organization. Together, we can ensure that our bylaws serve the best interests of our community.

Best regards,

Rene Rosenberg
