VP Marketing 

Elected or appointed volunteer responsible for chapter-based marketing and public relations to increase awareness of both the chapter and the PMI brand within the territory. The VP of Marketing will develop and execute an integrated marketing and public relations program to support member acquisition, member retention, event promotion, outreach activities, sponsorships and other related activities in alignment with the chapter’s strategic objectives. These activities shall be performed in accordance with chapter bylaws and PMI policies, brand guidelines and global marketing strategy.

Study Group Coordinator 

The PMI-HR Study Group lead will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and advertising the chapters PMP exam study group efforts. Study groups can be virtual or in person (dependent on conditions). The rep will schedule dates and times for study sessions, coordinate instructors, advertise sessions and ensure all interested parties have connection methods (zoom, skype etc.) or locations information.  

  • Volunteers should be aware that Hampton Roads is a military concentration area, and many potential attendees will be active duty or former military. This rep does not have to be military/former military, but it may help. 

  • The study group lead does not have to lead the study sessions but, if they are qualified, they may do so in rotation with other teachers. They are responsible for ensuring that each scheduled session has a lead/teacher or for facilitating the study session efforts if needed (leading the group through flash card exercises etc.).
