Workplace Melting Pot - Understanding the generation gaps and how to get the most out of your team

Our workplace is a generational melting pot.  You’re probably working with 4 different generations, all of whom have ingrained differences on important issues like company commitment, flexibility, rewards, and change.  You’ll learn why one group is team oriented while the other is fiercely independent; and why one works for rewards while another works only if the work is “interesting.”  This will help you get the most out of each group by using the appropriate motivation.

· Practice a tool to build positive relationships

As a Certified Dale Carnegie Trainer Paul has conducted over 2,000 hours of training in such specific areas as: Effective Communications, Human Relations, Presentations, Leadership, Employee Engagement, Customer Service, and Networking and has conducted several one on one Executive Coaching Sessions.

Industry Experience: Paul has been working with individuals to improve their performance for the past 17 years. Throughout his course of life he has been able to gain a wealth of firsthand experience in the service industry, customer service and leadership.

Join us for an evening of learning, networking and socializing on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.  Register before 5 July at 5:00 PM to avoid a $10 late registration fee.

Parking:  Use the parking garage off Market Street, decks 3 and above to avoid a fee, and take elevator to The Westin lobby on the ground floor. 

·  Registration and the cash bar opens at 5:30 PM with time to network with colleagues and learn about one another in our regional professional organization.

 ·  A plated dinner will begin between 6:15 and 6:30 PM with some brief chapter business and introductions. Menu: chicken entre'e, starch and vegetable, salad, bread and dessert.  Coffee, tea and water.

***Vegetarian and special meals due to dietary restrictions will be available upon request by noting your preference in the Special Instructions and Comments block while registering.  These meals cannot be guaranteed if member or guest does not register at least one week prior to the meeting.*** 

 ·  At approximately 7 PM we will turn our focus to the featured presentation.

PDUs Available: 

1 Category A Strategic Business PDU for Certified PMP, PgMP, PMI-RMP or PMI-SP, which the chapter will log for you.  Up to 1.5 PDUs for networking prior to the start of the meeting that you log yourself.  Up to 1.5 PDUs if you volunteer to help with registration that you also log yourself.

Registration will close 24 hours before the event.  Late registration begins after 5:00 pm, the Friday before the event.  *** Due to contracts with hotels and conference centers and the requirement to provide advanced notice on the number of attendees so they can order the correct amount of food, once you have registered, there will be no refunds. ***
