Presentation Title: Unleashing Power and Potential Through Strengths 

Presentation Description:  In the world of personal development, there is a plethora of assessment tools available; however, one stands out with over 15 million people having completed it. Do you know what your strengths are and why they fuel you? Can you identify the strengths of others, harnessing their productivity and melding it with your skills? Learn the methodology and purpose behind this paradigm-shifting tool to develop more awareness of how to maximize job satisfaction and productivity in yourself and in others

Presenter:  Dan Hay, PMP - Dollar Tree Stores Program Manager

Dan is a strengths-based leader, PMP certified project manager, husband and father of four children. He is passionate about helping others understand how they are wired to ensure maximum effectiveness in their professional and personal lives. Dan has experience in leading teams personally and professionally, including 14 years at Best Buy, where he first started in retail, two and a half years at SUPERVALU, and several years volunteering with multiple youth development organizations where he has held various leadership roles working to mentor and encourage young men. Dan has led diverse teams in the software development world, and has also been employed as an independent project management consultant and career coach. He currently uses his retail, project management & leadership experience at Dollar Tree headquarters in Chesapeake, VA as an IT Program Manager and leader of the business analysis team. He developed his understanding of strengths through his own personal development and through being mentored by strengths trainers, and in working with others through the strengths development coaching he has both provided to various clients, friends and co-workers.

Join us for an evening of learning, networking and socializing on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017.  Parking is free, but please see parking recommendations below.

·  Registration and the cash bar opens at 5:30 PM with time to network with colleagues and learn about one another in our regional professional organization.

 ·  Dinner will begin between 6:15 and 6:30 PM with some brief chapter business and introductions. Menu: TBD, but posted prior to the meeting if time permits.  There will be dessert, coffee, tea and water.

 ***Vegetarian and special meals due to dietary restrictions will be available upon request by noting your preference in the Special Instructions and Comments block while registering.  These meals cannot be guaranteed if member or guest does not register at least one week prior to the meeting.*** 

 ·  At approximately 7 PM we will turn our focus to the featured presentation.

 PARKING: Free parking on the 2nd deck and above in the parking garage and in the parking lot east of the movie theater.  The main entrance to the conference center is on Mariners Row across the street from the Paragon City Center 12 movie theater.  You can either exit the parking garage through the hotel to the conference center, but it's a long, winding walk and can be confusing.  Or, exit the parking garage on the southwest corner to Mariners Row and walk west to the main entrance of the conference center.  You can also park in the open parking lot to the east of the movie theater. 

PDUs Available: 

1 Category A Strategic Business PDU for Certified PMP, PgMP, PMI-RMP or PMI-SP, which the chapter will log for you.  Up to 1.5 PDUs for networking prior to the start of the meeting that you log yourself.  Up to 1.5 PDUs if you volunteer to help with registration that you also log yourself.

Registration will close 24 hours before the event.  Late registration begins after 5:00 pm, the Friday before the event.  *** Due to contracts with hotels and conference centers and the requirement to provide advanced notice on the number of attendees so they can order the correct amount of food, once you have registered, there will be no refunds. ***
