John W. Mullins is a proven leader and is passionate about coaching leaders. As a professional coach, John uses his knowledge and experience to encourage, empower, and equip leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs to maximize their potential. John began studying leadership early in his career, which launched him on a path where he now coaches, speaks and trains leaders on how to better engage and equip their workforce.
Whether it’s coaching a client one on one or training a team, he helps them understand their beliefs and values so they can identify what’s holding them back. This allows them to move through barriers, become more successful, and have less stress as they create and deploy an authentic growth plan and develop better team synergy.
John began his leadership journey by enlisting in the United States Coast Guard. It was in the USCG where John started studying leadership and began to understand how leadership always starts with self-first. Having now served over 20 years, John still serves in the Coast Guard Reserves as an intel officer. John holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Coaching and Mentoring from Regent University.
John currently lives in Virginia Beach, VA where he launched his own Leadership coaching and mentoring company, JWM-Coaching, LLC in 2018. John previously worked in Washington D.C. with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration in their Office of Strategic planning and workforce development where he created leadership development strategies and facilitated team-building workshops and offsites to improve the growth of the agency’s senior and emerging leader development programs.
