Presentation: Mindfulness Coach Jon Macaskill will discuss the Benefits of Meditation
Through practical tools of meditation and mindfulness, Jon will discuss the importance of meditation and its importance on our daily lives. Jon will lead us through:
Jon Macaskill (muh-KAS-kill) is a Navy SEAL Commander turned mindfulness and meditation teacher. He’s a Naval Academy graduate and has his masters in Operations Re-search from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Jon has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, off the coast of Soma-lia, and in Panama. He now runs his own consulting com-pany, Macaskill Consulting, LLC, bringing mindfulness and meditation to high performing teams to aid in dealing with stress, anxiety and depression all while increasing focus, creativity, and productivity. He also serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Veteran’s PATH, a nonprofit organization that works to introduce medita-tion and mindfulness to veterans to bring them a sense of Peace, Acceptance, Transformation and Honor.
Jon’s wife also served in the Navy and is now a civilian Orthopedic Physician Assistant in Virginia Beach. They are the proud parents of two small children and currently live as a family in Ches-apeake, VA.
During our January meeting we will recognize our 2019 Chapter Volunteers for their contribution, as well as present our 2019 Ranzy Gammal Memorial Scholarship winner. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us for an evening of learning, networking and socializing on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020. Register before January 3rd at 5:00 PM to avoid a $10 late registration fee.
Event check-in and the cash bar opens at 5:30 PM with time to network with colleagues and learn about one another in our regional professional organization.
A plated dinner will begin between 6:15 and 6:30 PM with some brief chapter business and introductions. Menu: entree, starch and vegetable, salad, bread and dessert. Coffee, tea and water.
Please Note: Vegetarian and special meals due to dietary restrictions will be available upon request by noting your preference in the Special Instructions and Comments block when registering. These special meals cannot be guaranteed if member or guest does not register at least one week prior to the meeting.

Registration will close January 6th. Late registration begins after 5:00 p.m., the Friday before the event.
